More than 250 abstracts were submitted from researchers all over the world. They were reviewed by two independent reviewers each as well as throughly examined within the Scientific Commitee with regard to their relevance to the topics of the conference. After the review process, the Scientific Commitee chose the contributions to be presented during the conference.

The abstract volume features the abstracts of all oral and poster presentations (135 abstracts in sum) of the international scientific conference „Sustainable Consumption – Towards Action and Impact“ held in Hamburg, Germany on November 6th-8th 2011.

A special thanks goes to more than 50 scientists who engaged in the external review process of the papers submitted to the conference but cannot be listed here.
